National Bureau of Statistics: The rubber and plastics industry earned 65.5 billion yuan in the first half of the year, a rise of 11% against the trend!
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the total profit of industrial enterprises above designated size in the country from January to June 2023 was 3.388.46 billion yuan, down 16.8% year-on-year, and 2.0 percentage points narrower than that from January to May.
In terms of industry, among the 41 industrial categories, the total profit of 12 industries increased year-on-year, and 29 industries declined.

The profits of the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry, which is closely related to plastics, were not so optimistic, with operating income of 4,056.26 billion yuan, down 8.5% year-on-year; Operating cost was 3,537.58 billion yuan, down 3.7% year-on-year; The total profit was 202.19 billion yuan, down 52.2% year-on-year.
New regulations on plastics tax in Spain: It should be included in the taxable base of intra-EU procurement transactions
According to the requirements of Law 7/2022 promulgated by Spain on April 8, 2022, from January 1, 2023, Spain began to levy a plastic tax on non-reusable packaging, the tax involves producers, importers, intra-community purchases, and is an indirect tax (consumption tax) for environmental protection. On June 5, 2023, the Spanish Tax Office issued a new binding regulation (No. V1534-23) confirming that the amount of Spanish plastic tax should be included in the taxable base of intra-EU procurement transactions.
The Spanish Plastic tax is broader in scope and aims to tax the following "non-reusable" plastics:
· Non-reusable plastic containers
Plastic semi-finished products for the production of non-reusable plastic packaging
Plastic products used to close, trade or display non-reusable containers
